We had a nice and somewhat unexpected (read somewhat under predicted) snow dump in Bozeman and the area yesterday. We were running errands in the morning here in Bozeman in shirt sleeves (it was 51 degrees !), and within an hour the temp. had dropped to 30 and it was snowing to beat hell.
From the resort reports this morning, Big Sky has had another foot in the past 24 hours, and Bridger Bowl another 8″.
Bozeman is hosting the NCAA Skiing Championships this next week - the downhill events will be at Bridger and the nordic events at the Bohart Ranch just north of Bridger. We’re due more snow today and Tuesday - the snowpack keeps building. If the weather allows for sunny picture taking, Jake said he might run up and get some pics of the NCAA events this week…..
