Yet another sign that spring isn’t that far off - bear sign was noted over the weekend in the central section of the park near a bison carcass.   We’ve been out and about a fair amount the past few weeks and haven’t seen any sign, but the tracks found in the Park over the weekend are a wake up call to start thinking about bears and bear safety again.  Jake and his buds have been spending some time shed (antler) hunting in the hills and haven’t run across any convincing sign as of yet - but they’ll be a bit more attentive from now on.   Pay particular attention around any downed carcass (elk, bison, sheep, - whatever) when you’re out the next few weeks…….
