The weather gurus out of Missoula have projected a 70% chance of thunderstorms in the neighborhood today, some possibly severe.  We’ve been stuck in the office all morning, but can already spy clouds building in the southwestern sky.

Jake and I had a chance to run up the Gallatin yesterday afternoon and evening, and did the thunderstorm dance throwing yellow and orange stims to the better looking runs in the northernmost meadows just inside the Park.  Fishing was steady but not stellar and cut short when a small grizzly bear rustled and peeked out of the willows just downstream of where I was working a nice run.  Thankfully neither of us panicked, and Jake and I withdrew and headed back down the road for a burger and a rainly drive back to Bozeman.
