Not a lot has changed since last week in the Cascade Corner of the Park, save for some rain over the past few days.  That should keep the mosquito factory humming.

Go to hatches at this point are PMDs (mainly morning) and Caddis in the afternoon and evening; there are a few Green Drakes around as well as some baetis.  Gray Drakes should be coming on as we head on toward September.

Terrestrials have come into play down here too; if we were on the water today we’d prospect between hatches with a hopper-dropper set up.  One of our die-hard nymphing buddies was down last week and did well as he always does in the deeper holes.

He did also warn that the mosquitoes are ravenous, as bad as he’s seen in several years.

If you have been in and fished the river, we will gladly credit you for information we can post in an update, please shoot us an email!  As we get more data, we’ll provide better information to you.
