Livingston, one of Montana’s cutest and most visitor-friendly towns, offers a bevy of fall events sure to please anyone and everyone.  Livingston, just to the east of Bozeman, has a unique beauty as the mountains give way to the buttes and eastern plains.  Along with the beautiful territory comes a community ready to sate your need for culture, good food, and lively times.  Livingston has a full plate of events planned for this fall, from fundraisers to theatre performances.

September 26, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM is the Livingston Art Walk.  If you have not made it to one of these art walks, don’t miss it.  I wandered over to the last one, and I must say, while the art was interesting, the people watching was downright fabulous.  Truly one of the most fascinating crowds I have seen in Montana.  I think I spent more time laughing at the people than enjoying the art.  However, I digress.  Be sure not to miss the art walk, in historic downtown Livingston.

In October, the Firehouse Playhouse opens its performance of Oliver Twist, a classic sure to please.  Performances start October 17, and run weekends until November 16.  Matinees are at 8 PM on Friday and Saturday nights.

October 31 brings in the Best of Livingston Halloween Party at the Depot.  The party kicks off at 6 PM.  Expect a plethora of exotic costumes, great music, and good food.  Look for more information on this event in the future, or contact the Livingston Weekly for more info.

November 14 brings the Depot Beer and Wine Tasting, an annual event that is always a big hit.  From 6-9 PM, diners can experience a varied selection of excellent, professionally selected beers and wines from the region.  We may be small town Montana, but there is a strong core of local breweries that produce excellent, unique brews.

Nearly every night of the week, there is an event going on in Livingston.  Some of these are pretty much homespun Montana -  it might be a quilt show, a dinner theater, or a church fundraiser, something is always available.  Let’s face it, a town that Jimmy Buffet had to write a song about (Livingston Saturday Night) must be pretty damn cool.
