

We had promised that one of us would make a run up to get a firsthand look at the Upper Madison this week - I volunteered today to make a run up to enjoy the fall weather and see what there was to be seen.
The top two pics are views from the Lyons and 3 Dollar bridges - the river is spring run off high as you can see with probably 18-24 inches of visibility today. One boat putting in at Lyons, and one truck in the 3 Dollar parking lot .
The bottom two pics were taken from the road right at the Hebgen dam; the first of the two appears to be the bulkhead leaning against the truck. The casing they’re planning to drive down and fill with concrete was laying on the ground just behind the trucks with the bulkhead and other steel. The final pic appears to show workers still working on enlarging the cutout in the top of the intake tower. From the looks of things it’ll be a few more days at these flow rates……
