The Teepee Creek fire is a new fire spotted yesterday – it’s 17 miles north of West Yellowstone and 1.5 miles from the western boundary of the Park.  The fire is not posted on Inciweb as of yet, but was assigned a fair amount of resource yesterday.

Smokejumpers, helitack rappellers, and ground personnel from the Gallatin NF were assigned yesterday, as were two water drop helicopters; we also watched the air tankers making runs on the fire after dusk yesterday.

Winds today ahead of the next weather change due could give the firefighters a rough time today.  Think rain tomorrow.
