The Park adminstrators issued a heads up yesterday in a news release warning visitors about increased smoke visible in the Park the past few days and expected this long weekend.  The warmer than usual and windy weather has pushed the fires a bit, no fires have run away, crews are still on the Columbine.

The Park also noted yesterday that a controlled burn (65 acres) is planned for the Norris area sometime between the 5th and 15th, potentially impacting your fishing options in the area.  If you’re planning to fish that area in the next few weeks, follow along with us and we’ll let you know when - they are planning only a 24 hour notice.

Good fishing this holiday weekend!
