YNP has recently released the results of the collection of public comments regarding snowmobile usage in the Park.

It sure sounds like environmental groups mobilized well, as the comments apparently ran 35.5 to 1 against snowmobile usage in the Park.  From the summary released by the Park, it was noted that almost 90,000 of the 122,190 voluntary respondents wanted snowmobiles banned from the Park.

3244 wanted increased access and 193 respondents thought that 720 sleds per day, guided and meeting emissions requirements, were just fine.

This fight is long from over.
