Jess, the One who Must be Obeyed, and I spent the bulk of the late morning and afternoon scouting video locations on the Yellowstone River today for a project we’re working on.  It wasn’t as cloudy for the bulk of the day as it appeared in the picture above.  Obviously snow fell / was falling higher, and there were a few scattered rain showers around with temps in the high 50s.  It didn’t get windy until about 2 PM.  Not as many people on the river as you might have guessed for a fall day like this; we noted fish rising to sputtering BWO hatches at almost every one of the 11 locations we scouted today.

A word to the wise terrestrial fan - forecasts this evening are suggesting that our first cold Canadian air of the season will arrive Friday and really cool things down for next weekend.  Lows in Bozeman are forecast to potentially hit the low 20s, meaning much of the Park could see the teens.  Terrestrials for the most part will be zapped if the cold air really moves in - this could be your last week to use the terrestrial gang throughout much of the region.
