Taking a break from work tasks this morning after coming back from an early meeting (17 in Bozeman early today) – it’s a bit chilly in the Northeast Corner of Yellowstone right now (about 0940).

The air temp at the Soda Butte Creek gage near Tower is 10.5 F, and the water temp has chilled to 33.6 F – Mr. Trout will be pretty tight lipped today.

It’s going to warm back up a bit before the next wave of weather due Tuesday night and Wednesday, though the weather service is projecting snow showers most of the week (and cool temps) for Cooke City.

Might see some mid-day Baetis and midges, but the northeast corner waters are well on the downhill side of the season unless things really warm up again……..
