We just returned from a run to the Park with the whole family - wow, it felt almost like mid August - temps were in the mid 70s throughout most of the Park this afternoon, and it was a balmy 86 in Bozeman when we returned to town. Incredible blue skies that have made Montana and Wyoming famous, without any notable fire smoke, and a few showers to enhance pictures today (we’ll put some up in the morning).
For a warm, sunny fall day the tourist crowds were quite light. Lots of guys and gals wearing fancy, pastel colored fishing shirts casting (wildly) away on Park waters today.
Glancing at the weather this evening there is a change coming starting Monday - chance of showers every day and high in the 60s (low 60s by Wednesday) - that’s more like it. Indian summer is nice but it’s time for the great fall fishing to start…
