Yellowstone’s weather forecast (and you know how accurate they’re not) looks more promising this week that the past several….
Forecasts for both West Yellowstone and Gardiner / Mammoth put highs today in the low to mid 70s (it was high 70s in the park yesterday for us), with the weather cooling to highs around 60 by Tuesday, and gradually warming to the high 60s by Thursday.
Perhaps the most encouraging feature of the forecast is the projection for some rain and overcast this week - the best chances for overcast days appear to be Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain chances are 20 to 30% Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
This is not that first big, cold, fall storm we’re all watching for, but it’s a step in the right direction and should drive some of the fall hatches we’re all looking for….
