YNP has lifted the emergency closure of the Reese Creek area on the north side, and the Gallatin National Forest has lifted their closure of the Beattie Gulch area that’s adjacent.  These areas were closed last Friday the 14th after the mauling of the bow hunter over there.

You still need to be on your toes.

If you’re fishing over in the northwest corner on the Gallatin, be aware that bears have been taking elk carcasses over here in the Taylor’s Fork area and they might be a bit more active with the hunting around.
