It appears the NPS has decided reduce the number of snowmobiles in the Park this next year.  Sounds like it leaked out of Testor’s office before the Park made their official announcement…

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — The National Park Service has decided to reduce the number of snowmobiles allowed into Yellowstone National Park each day, according to a congressional aide briefed on the plan.

The agency plans to impose a daily limit of 540 snowmobiles, down from the current maximum of 720 such vehicles, said Matt McKenna, a spokesman for U.S. Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont. McKenna said a National Park Service official met with the senator’s staff Thursday to discuss the plan….

I’d bet neither side of the argument will be happy with this…
