Yesterday’s amazing sun and blue Montana sky highlighting the new snow on the Gallatins will give way to what very well may be the weather week we’ve all been waiting for.

It looks like we’re finally due for that multiday weather system to move in and provide clounds, precip, and cooler weather.

As of 0900 this morning, the forecast for West Yellowstone is for a high of 48 today, with a 60% chance of moisture.  Tuesday and Wednesday highs will be in the low 50s, and then mid to high 40s on Thursday and Friday.  There is a chance of precip every day (most likely snow in the Park), with precip chances back in the 50% range by the end of the week.

As is typical, Gardiner /Mammoth’s forecast is for temps to run a little higher - mid to low 50s for most of the week, dropping to the 40s on Friday.  Moisture chances are 50% today and tonight, lower Tuesday and Wednesday, and then back up near 50% by the end of the week.

No doubt the forecast will change a bit as the week evolves - the cold front bringing the change of weather is currently draped across central Montana and Idaho - look for the first rain to be in the Park this afternoon and evening.

Wahoo!
