With the bright sunshine in Bozeman this morning, the forecast of a potentially impressive late fall storm bringing snow and rain seems a bit far fetched - though this kind of forecast quickens the pulse of the hardcore fly fisherman looking for the best fishing weather.

The storm is due to arrive tonight, bring cooler air and moisture to the area;  in the Park it should fall as snow rather than rain (according to those in the know).

West Yellowstone is forecast to reach 47 for a high on Friday, with a 70% chance of snow, Saturday it will be 35 with a 60% chance of snow, and Sunday should be sunny with temps in the high 40s.

Gardiner is forecast to reach 49 on Friday with a 90% chance of rain (clarity will likely be an issue in the NE corner waters), Saturday 41 with a 60% chance of snow, and Sunday 53 and sunny.

Certainly sounds good - while in the Park we noted that the East Entrance was closed due to snow on the pass - if you’re planning to come in from Cody this weekend it might be closed again….
