The river is up and dirty, and has been impacted by rain and snow fall since the 3rd.
Flows today (Flagg Ranch station) are 297 cfs at 0630 , with today’s average 356 cfs. She was running at 214 cfs last week at this time, and is slowly dropping from the peak flows over 350 cfs almost all day on the 6th.
If you’re planning to be on the water in the next few days, streamers or streamer / nymph set ups probably make the most sense, though we’d suspect she’ll be off until Wednesday, maybe Tuesday afternoon. A San Juan Worm can be magic in dropping, clearing water….don’t forget to hang one these next few days.
The BWO hatches should come back into play, don’t forget your soft hackles and small PT or GRHE pre-emergence.
Terrestrials are for the most part done - we’re not carrying the box any more…
