We’ve made an interesting connection with a weatherman of late - a fishing friend from SLC introduced us to a guy who works for the National Weather Service regional office in SLC.

I just emailed him on a whim and he responded back - there is a large mass of rain and snow moving north / northeast out of northern Utah tonight, and the weather gurus are predicting that it will track through the Park in the next 8 to 12 hours.  If this holds, there will be pretty decent rainfall amounts that have the potential to impact water clarity - we’ll try and wheedle an update out of him in the morning - they have radar programs that can estimate very accurately the amount of rainfall that’s occured in a given area.
