We’ve had the same problem this week as last - with fishing so hot in the west / northwest sector of the Park this past week - we’ve had some trouble finding anybody who’s actually been in and fished the SW corner of late.
There’s no flow gauge on the Bechler, but the Fall River gauge has shown flows slowly settling out since the big push 10 days ago.
Making a decent guess for the last week of the season - we’d put our money on a double nymph set up (with at least one a smaller mayfly) - baetis bug, or working streamers make sense early and late, a bit smaller to match the scale of the water.
Hopefully there are still a few BWOs coming off, though the Fall Caddis are probably well finished at this point.
This will be the last Bechler update until the season opens again next year.
