As we sadly watch the last week of the Yellowstone season slip by, there are still great reports floating around about the wonderful brown run this fall on the Lewis channel and river.  There are also some impressive fish in the meadows sections of the Lewis that see much less fishing pressure - and it can get you out of the crowds.  The Lewis browns are some of the most accomodating fish you’ll see in the fall…

The Upper Snake in the Park has experienced another flow spike after yesterday’s rains and reports are that black woolly buggers, dark egg sucking leeches and standard leeches, big Princes, and SJ worms have been working very well down there in the waters stained by rains and run off of late.   This week’s flow spike is not as impressive as the week before’s, and should clear a little sooner…

We’ve also had nice reports from the past few days from friends on Nez  Pearce, the upper Gibbon in the meadows, and the upper Firehole.  Enjoy your last few days chasing these wonderful fall fish.
