The Lamar has been off much of the past week due to the effects of last week’s rain and snow; recent rains have put yet again more water in the river, though the flow spike is not as big as the last push on the 25th and 26th.
Flows measured near the Tower Ranger today at 0615 are 382 cfs with today’ average 183 cfs.
We agree with the guys at Park’s Fly Shop in Gardiner this area is basically done for the year, and we don’t plan to head back - it’s just been too cold at night, and water clarity has been an issue for the past several weeks more often than not it seems.
There’s lots of water fishing well in the Park - put the Lamar on your list for next season…..
