
Continuing our series on midges….
Some of the most used midge larva patterns, not only in our neck of the woods but around the country, include the Brassie or CDC Bubble Brassie (10-20, natural, green, red), as well as a Blood Midge (10-20, black, olive, red, cream, brown).
We like a Herl Midge in the same colors too.
We have a guide friend who works Montana and Yellowstone who says he rarely fishes anything but a Brassie or CDC Bubble Brassie - we like ‘em too as they’re a quick, easy tie, and effective….
