Much to the surprise and pleasure of the our friends over in Cody - the Billings Gazette is reporting today that the National Park Service will soon announce that the East Entrance to Yellowstone from Cody will indeed remain open during the winter seasons to come.  The NPS in theory was to have announced their decision on winter management plans yesterday, but failed to do so officially.

The picture is a vintage photo detailing what was called the Corkscrew on the Sylvan Pass Road, photo by F. J. Hiscock.
