I (Mark) just drove my wife over to Ennis to visit the Art Festival and have lunch - we came back to Bozeman the long way (sometimes you just need a nice drive).  As we turned east along the southern shore of Hebgen amazingly we could see the smoke plume from the Columbine 2 Fire - basically across most of Yellowstone Park.  The southerly winds were really pumping up there today, and that fire must really be hot.

Sounds like the Type 2 Incident Team is going to set up shop near Fishing Bridge in the Park, and from what we’ve been able to tell they won’t take the fire over until Sunday morning.  I wonder if any teams are on it today with these winds and aggressive behavior……
