Fishing legend Ted Williams, who among other things has served for years as the conservation editor for Fly Rod and Reel, has put together an anthology of stories that he has penned over the years reflecting on his love of fishing as well as his deep committment to preserving great waters and fish species.
In Something’s Fishy: An Angler’s Look at our Distressed Gamefish and Their Waters - And How We Can Preserve Both, the collection of stories are predominantly adapted from articles originally published in Audubon and Fly Rod & Reel. Williams deep understanding of fisheries ecosystems, his love of adventure travel and fishing, and his strong writing make this an engaging read, providing inspiration to keep fighting the good fight.
While you might argue some of the information is a bit dated, its timely message of being good stewards of the lands and waters we all treasure is right on the mark, and presented eloquently and in format to entertain as well as inspire.
Well worthy of your library and your time.
