The Fall River was fishing pretty consistenty until the rain and snow starting late last week and lasting into the weekend, and then she blew out on Saturday. Once she clears (probably tomorrow), the fishing will look a lot like last week’s report.

The Fall, despite the painfully low flows of the summer, is beginning to turn around a bit above highway 32. A guide friend was up early last week, and noted a few more baetis and some callibaetis, and thought things fished pretty well before noon when it got warm.

The overwhelming theme of the information we’ve been able to garner in the past week is that the Fall River continues to run incredibly low this late summer, almost at record levels. Local guides are still predicting the Fall’s flows will tumble to record low levels before the seasonal rains in September and October.
