The Park has decided to complete the Norris area prescribed burn today instead of tomorrow due to changing weather conditions due to arrive early next week.
Traffic will likely be disrupted in the Norris area - figure your travel accordingly. They were only planning 65 acres in this one, so there should not be an impact […]
The prescribed burn near the Norris junction has been scheduled for Monday morning the 17th, starting at about 10 AM - if you’re planning on being in the Park that day it will probably be best to avoid that area during the anticipated 65 acre burn.

There are reports today of a new fire in the Bechler drainage - nothing on the YNP official news site, and nothing on the Inciweb site about a fire in this area. We’ll keep working on getting information here - the Park’s SW corner offers great fall fishing…
